What I loved this week:

-Native beading. So great for a DIY necklace or bracelet. Have to find a tutorial first!

-Wooded bracelets. Very simple, very summery. Mix them with whites and neutrals for a sophisticated look or with colors to anchor them.

-Fruit smoothies. What doctor ordered for hot afternoons. Add 1-1 1/2 cup of ice, 1-2 cups of chopped fruits to 1/2 cup of juice or honey syrup in a blender. Blend and enjoy!

Red Maxi

For a quick dinner, I was looking for a light and breezy outfit. This one fitted the bill.

Am I wearing too much red this week?

How to style a Red Maxi Skirt

Call me old fashioned but I like maxi skirts for the evening. Two ways I styled my darling red maxi this week: edgy and sweet.

Navy and Neon

Removing the cloth belt from this dress and adding pops of neon pink made this dress fun and casual for a BBQ party over the weekend. I am falling in love with this dress. It’s light, cool and great looking.

Bag of the month:

This month’s contestant is a Dooney and Bourke red tote from an old "Signature Collection". It measures W 16”, H 11.5”, D 6” with a shoulder drop of 10”.  The material is canvas and leather and the build is structured. Also mine has red straps (not brown like this picture).
This bag is really old (9 or 10 years) and one of the few logoed bags I own. It is also a bit stiff so I don’t use it much. However, this tote is perfect for my laptop and I love the red leather trim.

Blush colored Maxi Skirt (Part II)

Last year I styled my skirt very casual. This season I am in a more classic mood. Two ways I’ve worn this skirt recently:

-Formal: with white silk shirt over it and belted.
-Casual: with (cream)polka dot red top tucked in.

Gray dress with red

An outfit from last week. A bit formal but very appropriate for a meeting.

Holy Grail of Style: Navy Shirtdress

Shirtdresses are classic, no doubt about it. The most popular color, however, is khaki or beige and sometimes olive (or military) green. Unfortunately these classic colors don’t look that good on me. Which is why I was looking for my own neutral, Navy!
And the search might finally be over. I have a feeling this is it: Dakota Dress from Anthropologie. (Ooh, and it’s on sale!)

Formal Polka

I am extremely proud of the way I formalized this short. Silk Henley top tucked in and the short is belted. All those inspiration photos are good for something.

Blue Maxi

Left on my own, I easily go head to toe blue… does it mean my mood is a bit blue these days? Maybe!
