Wishful white

Wearing all white in 116 degree heat (that's what my car's thermometer was showing. Officially it is only 111degree!) and thinking about all the cool white things: snow, vanilla ice cream, winter skies, snow...

Pure white

Another white outfit for my color detox. Extra bonus for giving my extensive collection of white tops a workout!

Pretty Polishes:

I liked the raspberry color on my toes so much that I kept it. This intense blue for my tips is a new experience.

Color cleanse

I need a visual cleanse. I feel as if I am repeating outfits. I am in serious need of inspiration. Meanwhile let's take it easy with little or no color.

Tangerine tango

It is said that orange and other citrus increase energy and happiness (color, aroma, vitamin C, who knows?). I needed an extra shot of energy last night so I over dosed on tangerine!

Downtown

Did I say something about not wearing prints? I take it back! Sometimes you have to differentiate yourself from the regular beer drinking Downtown crowd and what better way than with wearing a ladylike dress? It stands in solemn contrast against tiny shorts and tank tops or itty bitty bodycon dresses.

No pattern applied

I have been wearing patterns one way or another for more than three weeks now. I confess to being fed up with busy patterns. I'm changing directions and doing a pattern cleanse, starting today. But... OK, officially stripes are not a pattern. They are a classic!

 

Go for gold!

I have a nice collection of fine gold bracelets but for some unknown reason, I don't wear them much (or at all!). This summer I have "wear more bracelets" in my summer Bucket List, so I am doubling up!

Point for getting unwanted sun tan in AZ: gold looks great on tanned skin!

Dress it up!

If your pants look like pajama bottoms and you are heading out and not to bed, you may want to dress them up a bit. The most structured of tops is peplum in my opinion. To drive the point home, add matching and structured accessories!

Storm

Getting surprised by a storm and drenched in matter of seconds is not a fun experience. Good news: the temperature dropped by 30 degrees! Bad news: it went up again 30 minutes after the rain!

Dark mood

Yeah, it's real! I guess I was too tired to think about color coordination and figure flattery. I just wanted something easy to wear!

That Pretty in Punk is a gorgeous raspberry or dark watermelon color that I have fallen in love with.

Substituted pajamas

Wide leg printed pants which are trendy recently are the solution to leaving the house for a late evening errand when all you want to do is wearing your pajamas and ducking into your bed! Of course, I couldn't resist dressing it up a bit with an eyelet button down (still comfy!) and an iconic necklace. I might be schlepping but I do it in style!

Country

This Bermuda shorts have a Down-South Country feel about them and I had to pair them with a chambray shirt to get authentic! Cowboy boots would have been perfect with this outfit although in Arizona's heat, I stick to my sandals, thank you very much!

Double the flowers

I love this silk tunic but I wore it only a couple of times last year since the only way I could imagine wearing it was with black or white jeans. Since it is too hot for jeans right now, I had to exercise my creativity. How about mixing patterns? Tucking in the tunic? .... and it looks good!

"Bear Necessities"

There are certain things I can't live without like candles and tea-lights, so I went out to restock. I came back with white candles and clear tea-lights plus white pants, black sandals, a silk scarf and a perfume sample, the necessities of life!

Wild card

It is hard fining a top that goes with this pants. This time around I just took my cue from its muted colors and piled up every toned down and soft piece I had! problem solved!

Pleated and striped

I snagged this shirtdress Thursday through 4^th of July Sales at an extremely low price (bragging!) and thought to honor the Shopping Gods by wearing it soon after. Nothing feels better than a lightweight almost sheer cotton dress in your most flattering silhouette  when it is 108 degree and humid! 

Low key

See? I can do low key, a tee and shorts outfit for a fast food dinner! Just have to add a copper bracelet and correlating earrings. Pink shoes or black shoes? None, since I still haven't found the rest of my shoes!

Pretty Little Details: Dainty Jewelry

Tiny and delicate these pieces are capturing my imagination right now. I am in the mood for unassuming and understated, not flashy or statement making. I want the comfort of knowing and becoming familiar, of simple joys and of unpretentious elegance. These dainty little pieces show personality and individuality without being vulgar or showy. Right now, I am captivated by a quite femininity.

In the spirit of "why mess with a good thing", I didn't over think my outfit for today. I have this ready made 4th of July dress and I wear it! I have worn it before, you say? Who cares!

Double up!

Doubling the "Red, White and Blue" with an outfit for dinner in a very health-oriented restaurant where they serve Vegan and Gluten-Free food along regular food.So good!

Breezy and patriotic

I can put together so many red, white and blue outfits since I have these colors aplenty in my closet. The problem however is the weather... oh, the weather!
