Loved putting together this look with the emphasis on red. You know what I didn't like? Getting surprised and drenched by rain!
I have a Love-Hate relationship with Monsoon season.

Cognac and white

One last white look before the Labor Day? Sure! A mix of cognac and white is very summery and kind of safari, isn't it? I thought it the right tribute to these hot day we are so tired of!
Also the look was utilitarian enough for running around town and finishing errands last minute.

Folk embroidery dress

I fell in love with this dress as soon as I saw it in a weblog but it was sold out in stores and on line in a blink of an eye. When I finally found it I grabbed it without any hesitation.
I'm glad I saved it for a happy lunch with my friend. Special day, special dress!
Structured bag and wedges made for a cute outfit.

White and off the shoulders

A pretty minimal look in every sense of the word! I mean that dress was pretty mini and what it lacked in length it more than made up for in volume... talk about floofy!
Although for a bit of walking and a dinner on the terrace and an impromptu visit to friends, I loved it. I just wish the designer had added another couple of inches to the hemline!

Happy brunch

Brunch is the happiest meal of the week in my opinion. It needs to be recognized with an equally happy outfit. Floral prints are happy, aren't they? pink and orange are also happy... yeah, I load them all up!

t-shirt dress

One of the most comfortable dresses in the whole world! Of course it's perfect for a fast food dinner late at night.

Fit and flare shirtdress

This got to be my most favorite silhouette: a shirtdress in a fit and flare cut which is very flattering on my hourglass body!
Also a very comfortable outfit for a hot and humid day... can't forget that!

White Off the shoulder top

With over-abundance of Off-the-shoulder styles I became spoiled and decided to look for my perfect "soul top"! I was looking for a rare bird: %100 cotton, not see through, ability to be tucked in, slim at waist, good length sleeves, no elastic or smocking in front... And I finally found it! Hooray hooray hooray!
In celebration I wore it with a chocker :O

Black and white

Hot humid weather? Check!     Airy T-dress? Check!     Comfy shoes for walking four hours straight?
Check, check!

Layered denim

In real life, my dress is patchworked, the sleeves and collar are from another fabric but this picture is close enough I guess. And yes, the dress is so damnably short... but hey, it was 8:00PM so not caring much!

White midi dress

The summer is coming to an end quickly and I haven't worn enough white. That was a thought and then I decided to go for a head to toe white look. But since the blue skies are messing with my head, I had to add a little chambray bow belt and other touches of blue!

Printed shirtdress

You might think I don't like this dress since I've worn it only once in the past year and half while the opposite is true! I love it too much I wanted to wear it for a special occasion. But finally decided that a delicious relaxing dinner with my hubby was indeed a special occasion.
Ok, well, I really really wanted to wear it!

Back-to-front

I wore this top back-to-front so the button could continue the line created by the buttons on the skirt. It was the unifying element that tied the two chambray pieces with two very different personality: the skirt prime and modest and feminine, the top playful and young and flirty.
I liked the result. What about you?

Off-the-shoulder and patched denim

Two trends at once? How very fashion victimy! Those were my exact thoughts when getting dressed in my Off-the-shoulders top and patchwork denim but I ignored my inner critic. The thing is summer is coming to an end and I need to get a few more wear out of my summer pieces!

Airy dress

This silk dress is as light and airy as they come especially since it's unlined. It is also pretty and colorful...the right kind of cheerful.
considering the killing humidity, I kept my theme of minimalist going!

Maxi dress

My secret weapon against these hot humid nights? My old maxi tank dress. It's like wearing nothing but far chicer and a whole lot more modest and respectable!
Plus red lips and gold earrings make it "A Look" and not an afterthought or worse, a "can't be bothered"!
But it was so hot that even carrying my little bag was an effort.

Autumn colors

A little rain and cloudy skies put me in the mood for Fall colors so I went with this color combination. I just confess to not liking the shoes since they murdered my feet. Apparently I've forgotten how to walk in 3+ inch heels!

Minimal

These days (and nights) it's all about survival in a minimalist no-fuss but still-socially-acceptable outfit!
My new philosophy? Red lips make everything better!

Running errands I figured out something: I can handle the heat, it's the humidity that's killing me (and my chic!).

Comfy outfit

The comfiest outfit for humid nights: a soft knit T-dress and sandals. But adding little touches like a structured bag, earrings, red lipstick and a hair updo makes sure that the look stays chic and not sloppy!

Fighting humidity

What to wear on a hot humid night? I was grateful to have this gauzy breezy dress. This time around I was in a minimalist mood and mixed it with cream-taupe accessories. With my hair braided and in a bun I was able to brave the night!

Artistic and blue

I bought these shorts specifically for this painterly top but why it's taken me so long to wear it? I blame my mess of a closet!
So taking an artistic spirit out for a spin, tassel earrings and sandals and of course a lip color aptly named "Amsterdam":

Black is the best!

I'm still in incredibly dark mood. I swear I tried two other outfits but didn't feel good in those. Third time was the charm even if it was a head to toe black look!

Sunday night's movie

I was in a dark and gloomy mood which even watching "Ice Age: Collision Course" didn't remedy. Not always big on dark colored lipstick but... and then had to add the earrings and the bag!

White cropped jeans

I've been waiting for the right moment to wear this pair of cropped wide legs and as soon as temperature dropped below 110 , I went for it! Just to balance things out I paired them with a breezy eyelet top. I fell in love with the eyelet and embroidery of this top and bought it without trying it on.

Off duty

This top is pretty formal but for a late-night dinner I wore it with my striped linen shorts and sandals. A big trick to make the top more casual? I left the top two button undone and instead of a bow, tied the Tie into a loose long knot.
But whatever I do, I have to have my red lipstick!

Seersucker dress

Seersucker clothes always put me in the mind of Deep South and southern Bells. So with the excessive heat and humidity of  the day, I decided  listen to those Magnolias! They know their summers...and their summer fabrics!

Chambray shirtdress

Another minimal look for the 118°F temperature. My dress was pretty thin and breezy but still when I got home I jumped straight into the pool!

Zipped A-line skirt

I picked up this little skirt from Abercrombie and Fitch for a pittance, having fallen in love with the print and the subtle texture of the fabric. Imagine my surprise when I got home and found out how many of my tops go perfectly well with this little beauty!

Black at night

No, not a head to toe look but with emphasis on accessories! Plus I wanted to see how my new black flats are gonna hold up.
Good news is they are very comfortable!
