Raindrops on my hair

I remember a Physic problem from first year of college: If the rain is coming down with a certain speed, what would be the best speed for running so you don't get wet? I put the solution into practice last night, trying to run between raindrops!

Grey and Gloom

After a few days of grey skies and rainy weather my mood is as gloomy as the colors of this outfit... abandoning all hope and happiness! So gloomy, told ya!

Tried and true

When I have no energy or inspiration for coming up with new outfit combos, I relay on my old standbys: a button down shirt, jeggings, a black and white color scheme and of course red lips. Looks good instantly and fools everyone!

Color mix

The weather was showing multiple personality with gray skies, then sun, then rain, then.... kinda like this outfit. Different themes, a hodgepodge of colors...

Sky blue in rain

It was a cold stormy night and the rain was lashing over the town... and I really really wanted to wear my pale blue coat! that's the story, kids, a true story!

Farmer's market

Back in California, we used to visit our town's farmer's market every other week, usually after brunch. In AZ, I didn't know the location of nearest market or a good brunch spot until a few weeks ago. Glad to say, the market is only a couple of streets away from our house and right beside a great cafe. One stone, two birds, a happy Sunday!

Saturday dinner

These days we are trapped at home supervising workers and the remodeling. The only time we get a chance to go out and run some errands or have some fun is around dinner time. My outfits should go from restaurants to super market to Home Depot. A tall order!

Sky is the limit!

This fall I fell in love with a pale blue coat in Limited (from Scandal collection). Being in Michigan and not knowing how long I could enjoy wearing that coat, I passed it. But the image stayed with me and when I found this little coat in a more classic cut and extremely discounted, I jumped at my chance. Then I decided to pray for a cold front so I can enjoy it for a few days. I received it the day before yesterday, had to wear it last night since the weather complied. Thank you, Shopping Gods! Thank you, Weather Gods!

A military edge

An army coat with its color, length and cut has an inherent edginess. I didn't want to gild the lily so I kept everything else simple and basic. Let the coat take the center stage, that's what people most see anyway!

Old silhouette

Maxi skirt and car length coat reminds me of old movies. I thought I give it a try seeing how well the pink coat matches the pink in the dress.

Grey matters

I finally learned how to dress for tile shopping: jeans, comfortable shoes and an old coat you don't mind getting dusty... and that's all, friends, my exciting life at the moment!

Playing with purple

A comfortable outfit for playing Interior Designer and choosing bathroom tiles, going from store to store. I noticed it's been a few months that I wore an actual honest to god pair of jeans. I am ashamed to confess... I've becoming addicted to jeggings. Please don't judge me!

Purple paisley

The fun is not in how well the plaid shirt and the sweater match, I've matched them before in another outfit. The news is how wonderfully well this scarf goes with everything. I'd used it in a sky blue outfit before and it looked amazing. Now it seems it was made to  match plum and pink. this is it, my new love!

Orange food

A quick and easy outfit for a quick dash to fast food place. Weirdly the food also matched the orange and brown of this outfit. Unhealthy? You betcha!

Black and tan

The day was so gloriously sunny that I decided on wearing a dress with a light jacket. However at the last minute I chickened out changed my mind about going bare legged and added a pair of opaque tights to the outfit.

 I may have taken the color coordination too far in this outfit!

Inky blues

I have a weakness for intense inky blue colored items as you can guess. It's amazing to see how perfectly pieces purchased years apart go together. Take the sweater and button down shirt here. I bought the sweater a couple of years ago, the shirt this last fall, one while still in CA, the other in MI. Now in one outfit they look like they were made for each other... and yes, how can I resist going matchy matchy and piling on other blue items?

The outer layer

Really! My sweater and leggings wear totally appropriate for a late night Chinese food binge but the outer layer elevated it into something much better. It doesn't really matter what you are wearing under your chic coat as long as you have on coordinating high heels, a structured bag, a hint of gold and a statement lipstick.You can go anywhere!

Mixing marigold

Let's call this color marigold since I have serious problems with mustard. Then the color scheme is already set with green and brown and orange since those would be the colors you expect to see around a marigold. Case solved and we can all go out for a burger!

Pink & grey

A very relaxing evening after two days of remodeling's hustle and bustle. The remodeling is not done yet, but just beginning; however for a couple of hours we walked in rain drizzled streets, ate a delicious dinner and paged through new magazines... enjoying some peace and semblance of normality.

Riding outfit

For whatever reason, the combination of plaid skinny pants and these black boots gives me the feel of wearing a riding outfit. A horse or a motorcycle? I'm not clear which!

Interestingly enough I'm afraid of riding both horses and motorcycles. I just enjoy the outfit!

Restful blues

These days I feel tired mentally and physically and just want to find a cozy corner and curl up with a good book. Wearing blue helps me relax.

Black leopard

I wasn't entirely sure about these leopard jeggings but wearing them with black and camel tamed them nicely in my opinion. What do you think?

Sky blue

I wanted to celebrate the beautiful clear skies and eighty degree temperature so I pulled on as much sky blue as I could. Although I've come to love pastels (last year blush and this fall powder blue), I'm not sure the pastels love me back. I need an intense lipstick to bring some color to my face!

Chocolate power

Sometimes your outfit has to be more comforting than a bar of milk chocolate. This is my interpretation: all these delicious colors, orange and chocolate brown and cranberry are my comfort foods colors!

Soft gray

I've been dreaming about an all gray outfit so with the temperature at a glorious 70 degree, I decided that today is the day. Taking my light gray velvet coat as an starting point, I just piled on every gray thing I found. This was one of those outfits that look better in theory... a total miss!
