Surprised!

It was supposed to be hot, but then; it got cloudy, the temperature dropped 10 degrees and it started to rain… yeah, honest to god rain (which continued over night). So, there I was totally surprised in a thin lacy blazer, shorts and sandals!

Red and yellow

Temperature has hit upper 80s to lower 90s and I feel like I’m being suffocated. A breezy outfit is the solution, something non-confining and light with happy touches of neon yellow!

Weekend round up:

Friday, airport and dinner:

Saturday, a symphony in texture. I love how the roughness of raffia contrasts the leather and how silk chiffon plays against texture of boucle and rough edges of the jacket.

Sunday dinner, I learned the merits of a simple tube dress.

I’ve been wearing mostly neutral and black this weekend. I guess, I got a bit tired of color after the last few weeks.

Black dress

“Hello darling! I’ve missed you!” Whom do you think I muttered these words to, my dear hubby who’s been out of town for a few days or my black maxi dress who has been hiding in the back of my closet from last summer?
Ah, you know me so well!

The Fourth:

Any excuse for systematically poisoning myself with all kind of processed junk: Bad TV dramas, pies, sodas, hot dogs, pop corns and chips. Yeah, sometimes I am in a very festive mood!

A total theme:

The first thing I did after finding this top was removing those pesky little buttons.

The second was matching it with a white pencil skirt for a total “Red, white and blue” effect.

Red, white and blue:

Fourth of July is right around the corner and as always I’m doing a bit of theme dressing.

I often have reasons to be thankful for living in United States. To honor this privilege, I usually celebrate the days leading to the Fourth of July with dressing in “Red, White and Blue” theme.

Saturday, taking a coffee break in a bit of globe traveler style:

This outfit is the starting point of my “red, white and blue” theme dressing.
